The Need

A privately held Biotechnology Company was on the cusp of ramping up their national sales team from 50 reps to roughly 100 reps. They required Senior Sales Specialists who had contacts in the Women’s Health arena, as well as more junior candidates with solid b2b experience. All roles were in completely different geographies. They had always used 2 recruiting partners for all prior needs, but with such a large ramp up required, they allowed CSS ProSearch the opportunity to assist with building the Sales Team.

The Solution

In the fall of 2015, we were originally given 5 positions so that the organization could get a feel for our candidate quality and communication process. Within 5 days, we provided 10 candidates and were immediately given an additional 20 openings. We managed to fill 6 sales roles that started in 2015, with an additional 14 candidates that started in 2016.
After such strong success with their sales ramp up, this organization requested that we assist their Sister Company with another ramp up. For Company #2, we were given 15 sales positions and filled 13, all of which started in 2016.

After meeting 99% of their Sales Staffing needs, both companies were extremely impressed with our candidate quality, communication process and organization that went into managing such a large pipeline of multiple candidates in multiple territories. They asked for our assistance on non-sales roles, titles included: Cytotechnologist, Billing Manager, Specimen Manager, Product Marketing Director, Director of Field Operations, Director of Lab Operations, Reimbursement Manager, Client Service Manager and Director of Purchasing.

Final Results

In total, CSS ProSearch has filled over 60 positions between both companies, 80% Sales and 20% other. Both organizations continue to use CSS ProSearch on a contingency basis, as we have proven we’re able to provide multiple pre-screened, qualified candidates within 72 hours. We are their primary recruiting partner and for the majority of Sales Managers, their exclusive partner on all searches.
